Chelsey Korus has been teaching yoga since the age of 15 and has been an avid life long learner in numerous movement practices, including: Anusara, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Acro, as well as martial arts, free form dance, and ballet.

Along with an exceptional depth of practice, Chelsey is a triple major with degrees in Dance, Theater, and Vocal Performance.

A decade of learning and teaching around the world has led her to design, AWAKE with Chelsey Korus - a "total package lifestyle" around SOUL - SPIRIT - ENVIRONMENT. The concept of AWAKE is a driving force in her life, inspired by not wanting to live another second asleep. She has designed these practices to help people awaken to their moment, and have the tools to step into their wholeness.

She believes that Yoga is the one thing that makes her heart return back to its original state, understanding it's a process, a returning, a deep love.

Let nature inspire you to practice backbends, standing balances, arm balances and transitions into inversions with confidence and ease. Just like nature, you are powerful, resilient and enchanting. To be at home in your own skin and in love with your body is a radical practice for women. Before you were made to believe there were roles to play or masks to wear, your body knew its true self. Return to that place of knowing with a sequence of supported backbends, active flowing movements and nourishing forward folds. Walk away feeling empowered to love the skin you're in. Props Needed: A blanket.
Practice Focus: Women
1-2 20 Chelsey Korus
This flow class will focus on deep abdominal engagement that creates body loving compression. Work with forward folds and unique core sequences that help build strength and also support deep muscle release. This is a great prep class to help strengthen the muscles needed for a seamless press handstand. Props Needed: Two blocks and a strap.
