Chelsey Korus has been teaching yoga since the age of 15 and has been an avid life long learner in numerous movement practices, including: Anusara, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Acro, as well as martial arts, free form dance, and ballet.

Along with an exceptional depth of practice, Chelsey is a triple major with degrees in Dance, Theater, and Vocal Performance.

A decade of learning and teaching around the world has led her to design, AWAKE with Chelsey Korus - a "total package lifestyle" around SOUL - SPIRIT - ENVIRONMENT. The concept of AWAKE is a driving force in her life, inspired by not wanting to live another second asleep. She has designed these practices to help people awaken to their moment, and have the tools to step into their wholeness.

She believes that Yoga is the one thing that makes her heart return back to its original state, understanding it's a process, a returning, a deep love.

Practice a flow that leaves your body in a state of bliss and your spirit recharged. In this energizing sequence, practice challenging arm balances, working with chapasana and eka pada galavasana variations on blocks. Find your strength, face your fears and return to love! Props Needed: Two blocks.

Gain a greater understanding of how your arm bones are built to hold you up just like your legs do everyday. In this precisely sequenced flow, focus on dynamic straight arm balances and practice the necessary tools to hold postures like plank, crane, and lolasana. Heat up with scapular push-ups, working on wrist flexibility, shoulder and core awareness. Have fun building confidence and strength into your entire body! Props Needed: Two blocks and a blanket.

2 30 Chelsey Korus
Relax, slow down and tune in to release your muscles with this class. Practice deep, supported stretch work that helps open your hips, groin, hamstrings and feet. Using props, move through a sequence that includes a seated forward fold flow with a bolster, hip openers and leg postures like frog and straddle splits. Walk away with a new sense of joy for stretching. A great class after any cardio or strength training session. Props Needed: A bolster and two blocks.
