Sally Kempton is a powerful teacher of applied spiritual wisdom, known for her capacity to kindle meditative states in others, and to help students work with meditative experience as a framework for practical life-change. As you settle into the awareness of the presence around you, practice with the awareness that you are being made love to, loved open, by the universe itself. Level 1-2 20 min
Taking and Sending Meditation - Practice a meditation for relieving your own and others' suffering. After the introduction, start by establishing self in the Presence in the back of the heart. Breath your thoughts and emotions through your own heart and into the Presence behind your heart, breath back blessing. Then imagine another's suffering, breathing it in to the back of your heart and breathing back blessing. Props Needed: Bolsters and blankets for sitting.



Level 1-2 30 min
Learn about meditation as a concentrative and integrative practice as you practice three meditations that build on one another. Prepare your body for your open-eyed awareness practice. Practice with breathing through your heart, using the mantra "I am." Includes a brief question/answer with a participant. Props Needed: Bolsters and blankets for sitting.
