The primary series of Ashtanga Yoga (yoga chikitsa) is a cleansing practice consisting of many forward bends. The intermediate series (nadi shodona) is a stimulating practice which wakes up your central nervous system. Be both invigorated and grounded as you move through the first half of the primary series, then directly into the first half of the intermediate series.
