The intermediate series (or second series) of Ashtanga yoga is a demanding and rigorous practice which deeply stimulates the nervous system. In its full expression the practice includes deep backbends and forward bends that require years to access. Completion of the sequence has the body feel light and clear. This practice will touch on all three important sections of this sequence in a more accessible way so that students of all levels can experience the lightness and clarity of Nadi Sodhana, or the nerve cleansing sequence.
