Reverse Energizing Flow

You're interested in an energizing sequence because you're tired, right? And, when you're tired you want to rest -- but if you rest too long you feel lousy. Right? Think about this class as a class in reverse. You will give in to your fatigue and start in savasana. Then, you'll coax yourself into some reclined twists, slow lunges, and even some standing poses. To complete the practice you will do several rounds of sun-salutations and finish in a brief standing meditation. It'll open your eyes and get you moving.

    Thank you so much for this practice Jason! As a full time student I almost always feel pressed for time and not nearly as energized as I would like, this practice is the perfect start to my day. It helps me ease into my days while slowly giving me the energy that I so desperately need! :)

    That was incredible, thanks Jason! I am a very creaky, bad tempered riser, and most morning practices feel like a fight with myself. Doing everything the "wrong" way around eased me from bed to happy and smiling in 30 minutes. :) Namaste!

    This is one of those sequences I love to return to when I'm feeling tired but know I'll feel worse if I choose to lie on the couch for half an hour. Your class not only wakes up my body, it brightens my mind and lifts my spirit. Thank you for providing that much-needed boost!

    I have narcolepsy. I cried through the first half of class, and can tell by how I feel at the end that today is going to be the best day I've had in years. I will be doing this practice at least daily. Thank you. I feel like I've been waiting all my life for this class, and to hear someone say those words. I guess I found my teacher!

    Wonderful, Jason - had me thinking why there aren't more classes like this! My teacher always begins class with 'constructive rest' and I've always loved it as a way to build up to the central pose(s) - but I've never actually thought of doing a class in reverse.     I love this class! It's perfect when I'm tired, and it seems like I'm always tired; I wish all classes could start this way. Jason, you do such a great job of being logical and methodical, and also like intuitive organic, in the way you approach how yoga works on the body. I love it, you clarify things that we can easily take for granted, and make them more clean and useful.

    You are my favorite yogaglo teacher, Jason! I have taken 3 yogaglo classes over the past 48 hours, all of which you teach (I just joined on Saturday). This sequence is great....I roll out of bed and can lazily get into it. I find with the other morning yoga classes, you can't really do that.     I love the concept and did enjoy the practice despite it being a few too many sun salutes for my taste. I think some seated hip openers, shoulder openers and a nice camel pose before spending all that time on Surya Namaskar would have been better - maybe for another practice of this nature? ;-)

    Brilliant! Thank you, Jason! My biggest problem at work is about 2:30 or 3:00 I lose all steam and can barely keep my eyes open, and don't come alive again until about 4:15-4:30.     Jason I keep coming back to this class again and again! I love it, especially on mornings where I'm really feeling tired. I walk away feeling great and ready to tackle the day. Would love to see more of these reverse energizers!

    I was feeling tired and lazy at the start, but by the end, I was forgoing the knee to the mat and happily getting energized by the sun salutations. I'd love another class like this but longer, building to a really energizing practice, for a total of an hour or so. Thanks so much for this "backwards" approach. It really worked for me today!
