Yin Yoga for Knee Injuries

Yin | By Felicia Tomasko on Aug 16 2010
This all over practice starts at the top of the body with neck and shoulder releases before moving into a hand, wrist and shoulder series that is perfect for people who spend a lot of time at the computer.

Lounge lizard and hammock release the spine before we move into hip openers that are perfect for people with knee injuries since we spend time on the back
segueing into a satisfying savasana.

Perfect. I have a knee injury and was wondering what I would teach this week. Lots of good ideas for a whole body practice here. Thanks Felicia!

Dear Tara, Thank you for your note! I hope you've been able to find inspiration for your classes. One of the great things about yoga is the way that we can all share ideas, techniques and sequences with each other. Thank you for your note! Felicia

I am having total knee replacement surgery on my right knee but can't bear to go without my daily yoga, what can I do?

Amazing practice, thank you! I found myself giggling at several points ... even while eating "bitter greens!"

Dear Ashley, Giggles are always a great accompaniment to practice. Glad to know that you enjoyed the practice. See you again online! Namaste, Felicia

Thanks Chanda! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the class and that it was helpful for your shoulder. So many classes have downward facing dog and when you can't do it, it can be challenging to find something to do instead.

This was really great for my left shoulder, which is experiencing so much tension that I can't comfortably do downward dog. More classes like this one, please!
