    In this practice I am having difficulty coordinating breath of fire breathing & punching - I find that I can do one or the other? Actually, pranayama mixed with other physical action, (cobra pose, forward bend) also challenge me. Any advice on how I should coordinate the physical exertions with the breath?

      Great question Lizanne, it comes with practice! Do the best you can to start with the breath of fire, then add the punching and see if you can create a rhythm that way! In Cobra with Breath of Fire, just come as high as you can whilst maintaining the breath. These techniques can be frustrating to begin, but if you stay with them you will start to penetrate more deeply! Hope this helps.. Many blessings, Kia

    Thank you so much for your inspired videos; I feel brighter and more centered in my truth when I wake up and practice with you. I have a question about the first exercise in this practice...does the inhale happen when the left hand is on the heart or when you rotate to the left? I wasn't sure because I took another one of your classes with the same exercise but the breathing seemed to be opposite. namaste

      HI Rachel, Thank you for your lovely feedback. Usually when you do this exercise you inhale as you rotate to the left, and exhale when you rotate to the right!

    Never thought I'd be punching in yoga class - oh, what fun.
    The pauses between poses are wonderful for grounding, and the reminders to 'show up' are beautifully timed. Another favorite practice. Many thanks.

    Dear Kia, I am doing my 40 days with this kriya. I tried few others you teach here and this one particularly resonated, felt it strongly in my heart, also in a physical sense, it really seems to balance me and open up to myself and surroundings. So I'm half way though my 'challenge' although it is more of a pleasure to do it everyday and benefits are tangible. I wanted to ask you about one of the postures, not sure what the name of it is, but its the one sitting down in easy pose and doing the 'pump' movements down from the heart to the pelvic area. Is there are particular meaning / purpose/benefit of this one? with other ones I seem to know so its easier for me to contemplate on them as I practise. Could you tell me a bit more about this particular one? Big thank you again for this class.

    I love all of your classes. I'm new to kundalini and I really feel the power of each exercise but when we hold our breath at the end I almost always feel dizzy, especially when I engage mula bhanda I feel like I'm going to faint and have to immediately let my breath out and open my eyes. Do you have any advice for me?

      Hi Rachel, do a very short hold at the end of the breath, even just a few seconds, that should stop the dizziness. You can gradually build the hold one second at a time. Let me know if that helps. Blessings, Kia

    Kia, this was lovely and I often feel a lift from kundalini. Is there any practice to help quiet the nervous system in preparation for sleep? Sometimes I worr if I do a practice too late it will keep me up. Would love to have a Oriya for the evening. Thanks for your teachings! Keep adding mor kundalini to yogaglo!

    This was my first Kundalini class - I certainly feel energised and detoxed! I wonder, do you have a class that teaches how to do the breath of fire properly, becuase I'm not sure, as a beginner, I was doing it right. I could only do it a lot slower.

      Hi Jill, We will have a class up soon that specifically addresses breath of fire. For now, just make sure that your belly in pulling IN on the EXHALE and that the inhale is passive (often we pull the belly in on the inhale - not what we want!). Then just go at the pace that works for you. Start slowly and as you strengthen your core muscles you will be able to build up the pace. Doing slowly for now is perfect!     I've been stuck for a little bit in my inner work and in my yoga practice. When I saw the description of your class, I confess, I rolled my eyes at the claim that "You WILL feel the shift in your energy and consciousness." Some deep part of me, though, was hoping that it could be possible, and I took your class. My inner skeptic has been replaced by a deeper energized calm. Thank you, Kia, for cracking me open again today and jump starting a new outlook and hope for what I am moving towards in my life. It warms my heart, too, to see that you must have posted your message below while I was practicing with this video... another connection on a subtle level. Amazing how may ways vibrations may travel!
