Im confused, are we supposed to be closing our eyes or not?

Eyes are 1/10th open looking down past the tip of your nose.

Thank you and namaste. I can feel the energy being generated in my teepee and then filtering it as i send it outwards with my breath. But whenever I do this meditation the back of my heart center always aches when i hold my breath, between my shoulder blades. Is it because I'm strengthening it or could it mean something else?

    Kia,

Thank you for the class. Does the gaze have to be looking down? My eyes bother me when I do that...

Hi Laura, gazing down beyond the tip of the nose is a particular dristi (gazing spot) that has a specific effect on the brain and nervous system. It is best if you soften your gaze and perhaps gaze beyond the hands toward the floor. However, if this still bothers you then close your eyes and gaze to your third eye. Blessings, Kia

    Lovely!

Is the breathing pattern ujjayi? I hear you breathing but I was not sure if it is normal breath or with constricted throat. Also, how do I stop my eyes from crossing when I look down my nose? This is lovely and you are a light to guide my yoga journey. Thanks.

Soften your focus and gaze so as not to cross your eyes!
Breath is normal or a slight ujjayi if you wish...
      Blessings to you!
