Hi! When the eyes gaze down towards the tip of the nose, are they kind of crossed? I'm just curious if I should be worried about crossing my eyes.
    • Kia Miller     Sep 26th, 2014
Great question Melissa. You are actually looking just beyond the tip of the nose, kind of at the shadow below the nose - eyes may converge slightly but they are not crossed.

My first kundalini class. Loved the experience, i found that i was sweating towards the end, dont know if that is a good thing or not. One question, can we hold our breath when we are pregnant? I am 6 months along.

Hello Kia!!! thanks very much for this meditation... I ve been doing it and I love it... I have a question though. do I have to think on the emotion/situation I want to release? xx love and light
    • Kia Miller     Jun 30th, 2013
Dear Alejandra, it works either way. If you have something specific you want to release then make that commitment when you begin - OR do the meditation and allow even that which we do not know is blocking us to be released. You may find old stuff comes up when you are doing the breath. Allow it to flow through you and to release it. Congratulations on doing it. This is a powerful meditation and way to relate to the breath. Blessings, Kia

Im confused, are we supposed to be closing our eyes or not?
    • Kia Miller     Mar 27th, 2013
Eyes are 1/10th open looking down past the tip of your nose.

Thank you and namaste. I can feel the energy being generated in my teepee and then filtering it as i send it outwards with my breath. But whenever I do this meditation the back of my heart center always aches when i hold my breath, between my shoulder blades. Is it because I'm strengthening it or could it mean something else?

Thank you for the class. Does the gaze have to be looking down? My eyes bother me when I do that...

    • Kia Miller     Sep 14th, 2012
Hi Laura, gazing down beyond the tip of the nose is a particular dristi (gazing spot) that has a specific effect on the brain and nervous system. It is best if you soften your gaze and perhaps gaze beyond the hands toward the floor. However, if this still bothers you then close your eyes and gaze to your third eye. Blessings, Kia

Is the breathing pattern ujjayi? I hear you breathing but I was not sure if it is normal breath or with constricted throat. Also, how do I stop my eyes from crossing when I look down my nose? This is lovely and you are a light to guide my yoga journey. Thanks.
    • Kia Miller     Aug 23rd, 2012
Soften your focus and gaze so as not to cross your eyes!
Breath is normal or a slight ujjayi if you wish...
      Blessings to you!
