Head to Toe: Shoulders, Arms, Wrists & Hands

Restorative | By Felicia Tomasko on Aug 17 2012
The full-body series continues with the shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands. Leave your props at home and give your hands some love in this class in our full body series that spends some time addressing the needs of the hands, wrists and shoulders. There are times in life when we feel as though we're juggling balls of fire. In this practice, we use a variety of creative stretches to for the shoulders, forearms, wrists, and hands...including a hand massage. We spend some time in a sweet forward fold and a luxurious savasana.

I tried this practice after 2 weeks of shoulder, arm and wrist pain from computer work...it had been building up for many months, but had lately gotten really bad. The past week I had been taking Aleve round the clock because I couldn't even sleep with the pain in my right shoulder and arm -- I didn't know if I had tendonitis or a pinched nerve or what. I did this practice and it was amazing. The pain has been gone since then (that was 3 days ago). Just did it again for insurance. I'm not taking the Aleve now. I can keep working with my computer and mouse (very carefully). A huge thanks to Felicia for this. I didn't even have to go to the doctor.

I always enjoy practicing with you, and this practice was really GREAT. I kept yawning and my eyes kept watering- a lot of tension releasing from long hours at the computer. Thank you Felicia.
