Thank you for the thoughts about sitting as opposed to lying meditation. I've always been one of those people who felt more comfortable lying down but your thoughts about the transferability of sitting meditation really struck a chord with me. I'm going to do more sitting meditation from now on. Thank you, namaste.

What about too much random thinking during meditation? Arg! I hate that! What is the best way to avoid that? Love the idea of walking meditation

Try not be discouraged! For some it takes a large effort to steady the mind but little effort to do asanas and there are those who can steady the mind easily but require a vigilant approach toward asanas. Personally, I've found that mentally reciting a mantra helps me settle my mind if I find my thoughts running too rampant to focus. Hope that helps! Keep at it and good things will come!
