    Wow Kia, you are such a gifted leader. Since I have joined YogaGlo I haven't been able to try many other instructors because your classes are simply amazing. I struggle with a few issues (hormones, anxiety, etc) yet my spirit feels so light after your classes, plus the bonus of a great workout in there too. A million thank yous and Namaste!

    Kia, your classes have helped improve my health, energy flow and, consequently, my life. Your enthusiasm and happiness are infectious!
    In this class you mentioned tuning in to our own internal energy source. I was wondering where the energy comes from? (Food?! ) and could we use up our supply?!

    I always feel such gratitude from Kia's classes. Enjoyed reading the following comments. I'm hungry too! Also, the recommendation to practice the same kriya for a period of time. I'd like to try that and see what happens :)

    I really enjoyed the energy clearing and activation of your class. I even had a puppy and five year old joining me but felt an amazing subconscious shift starting with the ego eradication. I am working on removing some energy blocks and this is clearly a style of yoga that will support such intentions and realignment.
    I have practiced yoga for years but have never felt so ravenous after that at all related to the practice of Kundalini?

    This was a very interesting practice for me as it is so different from my style of teaching. I enjoyed the challenge and feeling of the practice in my body and spirit. It was just what I needed today. That was my first time trying the ego eradicating pose and I loved it! Great class -thanks!

    Hi! Been doing yoga for a few years and always a bit uncertain of kundalini. Have seen classes coming up on yoga glo and today felt so stuck I decided to try one. Different! Clearing and I am left with a stillness. Thank you. How should I try to learn more /incorporate this practice more into my daily asana/self practice? How long is effective and any suggested sequences or references for me to look up? Thank you for a blissful introduction :) namaste!

      Dear Anjali, Thank you for reaching out. I would recommend that you find a kriya that works for you and practice it a few times a week for 40 days. Then for the next 40 days pick another one and do it every day. I have plenty of short ones up on the site that do not take a lot of time. This is by far the most transformational way to practice it - a little every day- this way the energy slowly builds and we penetrate beneath the surface to clear what is blocking us at a deep subconscious level. Look at the titles of the shorter ones and try a couple. Let me know what you think. You can also contact me directly through my website

    I feel that this is the most healing yoga I have ever done. I love it! Thank you so much. I have one question. When I do the cobra repetitions my elbows get very sore no matter how high or low I go. This does not happen in chaturanga or up dog. Will it work the same to do it without my hands or with my hands behind me? :)

      SO happy that you are feeling the healing potential of this practice! There is no problem with doing Cobra without your hands or with them behind you. I would also recommend using the arms less and the spine more, and keeping your elbows hugging the sides of your body. Many blessings, Kia

    Hi Kia,
    I have been doing your class often, perhaps 2x week on average for a month now. I have a question: why don't women do fire breathing on their menstrual cycle? I ask because after this last class, which I did on the tail end of my cycle, I have cramps and lower back pain. Do you think there is a corrolation here?
    I want to add that, obviously, I think your class is terrific. There are very few kundalini classes on Yogaglo. Do you think you could do more? I would benefit from a sense of a routine practice, as I am creating my own. What is a logical sequence? What are practices to alternate, or to do everyday? That sort of thing.
    Lastly, I was doing this class with a friend for the first time, and she sees you setting the timer, and she gasps "She's texting?!!". Big laugh. OMG LOL.

      Dear Andrea,
      Thanks for your message. I wondered how many people would think I was texting!!
      Women do not do Breath of Fire on their menstrual cycle as it can increase the blood flow. It is also better to keep that area passive and soft during our cyle, so the sharp pulling in of the navel is contraindicated. I am not sure if the cramps and lower back pain are related, but it could be. Best thing is to do the kriya with long deep breath when menstruating. There are many more Kundalini sequences coming up soon. The best thing to do is pick one that feels good to you and practice it for 40 days. Your experience of the kriya and how it directly effects your energy is profound this way. Let me know how it goes.. Blessings, Kia

    Just finished your class, and I am shaky and not exactly tired, but not exactly screaming with energy either. I found the class challenging, and I do do yoga very regularly, mixing power yoga with hatha. Got sick of the power routine, the limited range of poses, the lack of breath training, and decided to work with kundalini yoga. I think I have lots of work to do! I think I will repeat this class until I feel stronger in it - or until my calves don't hurt for two days after the class!!

    I would love suggestions on building this practice. I find it terribly difficult to roll my eyes to my third eye AND keep my belly engaged in fire breathing. I love your smile and your softness, btw. Ahh.

      Hi Andrea! Let me know how you are going. The practice will get easier as your physical and subtle body adjust. Your breath of fire will get stronger too. I suggest that as you build up you keep the breath of fire quite slow and eyes gently rolled to the 3rd eye. Welcome to the Kundalini train! As you will find, the practice is deeply transformational.
