    Thank you Amy. I realised how in meditation practice I worry so much about my to do list and tasks that I felt tense when you said focus on how you want your day to be today. It took quite a bit for me keep focusing on wanting some more relaxing self care time (a borderline workaholic in transition here), and wanting to stay present while accomplishing my tasks for the day. I also notice that I resist writing down/journaling, I haven't yet understood why. Thank you so much for sharing your practice! Got a lot of insights! :)

      Thank you for sharing your process, Vera and I am happy you gained insights! I have found that giving myself permission to write things down before I go into full meditation (whether it is to jot down the to-do list, express gratitude or contemplate accomplishments) actually frees me to focus on just being! Otherwise when I am particularly stressed or behind, I end up focusing on the to-do list during the meditation and will get increasingly anxious to get off the cushion! Giving myself a bit of time to write actually allows me to get more out of my meditation if that makes sense.

    Great way to start the day. However, there is a lot of talking and instruction in this session, so the video is not ideal for a regular quiet meditation practice.

      Thanks, Carly. True, there is instruction and talking meant to set you up initially to understand the practices properly. Then I recommend hitting the pause button and taking as long as you want in silence with the various practices.
