    Hi Kathryn, very nice session!
Only one problem; the top of my foot is very high, and I have a very high instep, and this makes reclined hero pose unbearable to me! It feels like I am crushing the top of my foot. Any suggestions for alternative poses/moderations?
    All the best for Norway,

you're not alone in that! You can try sliding a blanket under your foot, or sliding one into the crook of your knee. Also try putting a bolster and a few blankets under your back so you don't have to go as far back.

Thanks alot! I will try that.

A lot of this is the kind of stuff I thought my lower back couldn't handle. Until I did it. And then I realized this is exactly the kind of thing that makes my lower back feel free and easy. And now I will, as instructed, "go to bed." xoxo

I struggle with Hero pose even when propped up, my ankles just really dont like when they are bent like that. I am not sure what other modifications I can do to lessen the pressure on my ankles???

I'm very much a beginner and found this to be bit difficult. I will come back to this after I have had more practice.

Wow, your level 2/3 classes are easier then this. The hero pose combo had me lying on the floor laughing at how crazy I must look (think stranded turtle on its back) trying to get into these poses - humbling yet hilarious to be so challenged - definitely restorative! Mucho thanks lovely you. D x

Yes! I was laughing out loud too, occasionally saying out loud "...nope! how about we... just do this!" and adjusting as I went. I think I goofed off and gained more energy than I intended to right before going to bed. It's good though - I am going to bed happy and ready be re-charged. :)

I'm new to yoga and really wanted to do this, but my quads and hip flexors wouldn't allow most of the poses.....i had to stop as there weren't many variations. some day!
  • Natalya Pemberton     Jul 23rd, 2012
Ouch, I found this awfully hard on my lower back and had to stop about a third of the way in. I will try it sometime when my body's in a different way.
