Bring Balance to Your Presence

Hatha | By Elena Brower on Jun 05 2012
A sweet sequence to bring a balance to your presence in all parts of your body, as a way to soften your mind. Bring that equality of consciousness to half sun salutes, standing poses, a prep for arm balancing, a core strengthening pose and a seated hip opener, in order to cultivate that balanced attention to every realm of your life.

Hi Elena, Thanks for a great practice! Just a question about Warrior 3 prep pose - should head and neck be heavy, or lifted?

My first practice after having my baby. She even slept through the whole thing! Perfect for bringing myself back into balance from the physical strains of surgery (cesarean) and motherhood :)

I had a bit of trouble with one of the poses, where we were seated on one folded leg, I guess I'm just not flexible enough yet, my ankles don't really allow me to bend my leg under me. Loved the practice though, really helped me learn how to balance discomfort and pain and felt an almost immediate redistribution of emotions as well :)

Love the idea of balancing our attention. I generally do Level 2 practices so I added in vinyasas, full poses and a headstand at the end. Lovely! X

Very good, thank you. Don't have as much time as I'd like for morning practice, but 20 minutes well spent is so valuable. Particularly liked the concept of moving energy around and softening the mind. Thank you.
