For the times when you're forgetting to take care of yourself, or blaming others for not taking care of you, create a strong structure, a generous connection to the Earth and a super soft interior space. Sun salutations, standing poses, backbends throughout, a simultaneously calming and energizing practice.

      perhaps to reenergize a little inversion like legs-up-the-wall or even a headstand would be a nice energizing pose if you need to get going... let me know how that works, Julez!

    I often avoid a vinyasa feels rushed, forced shallow, westernized and lead by the ego. This was beautiful and real and connected to all that extends beyond our body! Thank you Elena for you gentle firmness and words.

    Yoga showed me today another new way of seeing me. Elena Brower said, “External boundaries, Inner softening.” And then all I felt was breath up against boundaries and breaths of inner softening. How do you explain when the breath breathes the space of you? It doesn’t feel so physical anymore. It feels likes rubber bands of energy and the space between. It feels like something singular and something so wide open in a pencil point. My body. MY body. It’s brand new to me today.

    Hi Elena! Thanks again! Love it more each time. And thanks for mentioning me, but it is you who created a grat practice! Can I use the opportunity to ask a question? It is re the backbends. I have practiced yoga for quite a while now but still have a huge issue with backbends. For a start I do not seem to look forward to them at all and it feels as if there is a huge blockage somewhere, but it isn't in the shoulders as I feel very very comfortable with twists, any twists. Love standing poses the most. But backbends ... big issue for me. Any tips as to how to approach the problem the best? Thanks very much!

      spend the next few weeks just elevating your heart inside - first thing, in every pose - but especially in your backbends. report back on how that plays out in your system... have fun with it
