Full Primary in Sanskrit

Ashtanga | By Jodi Blumstein on Feb 01 2012
This is a full vinyasa full primary series led class with an added touch. Here we are reciting the names of each asana, in sanskrit, before doing the pose. This is a class where you will learn the name of each asana and the proper sanskrit pronunciation. This is a vigorous class designed for regular practitioners.

    Hi Jodie
I have a question about moving moving from Chatarunga to up dog. I was once told to "roll up" into the posture, but find I get stuck. Is the movement a "rolling through"?
When I watch you it looks as if you're"lifting and pushing up" into the pose. Does the movement originate from the arms or the back?...or am I totally confused.
Thank you for sharing your gift and passion for Ashtanga.
    Blessings,
    Pamela
