Just what I needed today. Kathryn, I've been doing yoga since 1995 and you truly are my all time favorite teacher. Your irreverent sense of humor keeps it real while motivating and inspiring me. I love being able to take your classes whenever I want on yogaglo, which is a dream come true being a mom of a 4 year old. Looking forward to seeing you when you come to Portland this summer.

happy new year, everyone! @gayle, try lifting your heart more. you might be collapsing in your chest which leads to the heavy feeling in the neck. if that doesn't help, keep a slight tuck to your chin and gaze forward during the backbend xo

    Hi Kathryn,

    Great class and wonderful message.

Question: When I release my neck in Camel, my voice sounds strained like the front of my neck is too tight. But when you have your head back with your neck stretched your voice still sounds normal.

What action do I need to do to release that tightness in the front of my throat? If I try to lift my head that really strains my neck muscles. This has always been something I have tried to figure out.

    Thanks
