I loved this class! Especially the part when I was doing the class and my 15 year old daughter was doing her homework and half listening to you talk...I knew she was because she heard you say she is so bad ass (to your goreous assistant) and meredith said "that does not sound very yogi eey to me!" I told her it was a compliment..ha!
Thanks...I am working on the chakra medications with H wagner and loving this as a compliment to those medidations!

@Allison and Melissa: your feedback is much needed... In trying to sort out what "style," we were in a quandary; it truly isn't as fast as vinyasa but it truly isn't entirely Anusara either. Know that we are actively sorting out what to call these classes of mine, and that your comments are heard - and appreciated.

And for everyone else who found value in this class, my gratitude~

Thank you Elena for a beautiful class. I have been taking your classes for over a year, and your teaching completly transformed my body (I am a dancer and a yoga teacher), and my thinking. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for being here. Namaste.

    Elena,
That was just what I needed! Thank you- somehow your classes repeatedly inform me in a way that was powerfully what my heart needed to hear. "I am connected and I am ready to transform." So beautiful. My heart thanks you.
    Namaste

Thanks Elena for all your classes - whether you call them Vinyasa or Anusara - such a breath of fresh air.
Would you share what references you refer to for your understanding of the Chakras?

I liked the class but had the same thought as Melissa ... Not really vinyasa flow. That label and the phrasing " ignite the fire" made me think I was in for more physical heat building on a cold rainy day. I got a lot from the chakra opening and meditation so maybe that was what I truly needed!

Eleana, this was amazing! I did Harshada's 3rd Charka meditation twice and could not even breathe there. After doing this practice, I felt so open! Now I know this is something I need to work on! Thank you!
  • Katie Anderson     September 28 2011
Elena, I felt the fire. What a superb experience for me at the exact moment I needed it. I am wide open and powerful. THANK YOU.

i agree, Melissa. we needed to label this class other than Anusara (since it's not a typical Anusara class) so we went with vinyasa, because there is some flow but no, not a typical vinyasa flow. thank you for pointing that out - i hope the class was useful in some other way! all the best.
