Description
Tired, feeling blue, unenthused or downright exhausted? This practice gives into the fact that you're feeling tired and starts slowly, gently and quietly with some reclined work. Then, it builds into some effective and uncommon awakening movements that include rolling back and forth from plow pose to seated forward bends. It continues this trend by gliding you through sun-salutations, standing poses, and awakening backbends.
Do you have any recommendations for a beginner regarding plow pose? I found it energizing and felt no pain in my neck, but I couldn't help feeling a bit ungraceful as I threw myself back into it. I have no idea if I was doing it well or "correct" at all.
I appreciated this practice very much!
Thank you!
Thank you

@Jen Wang: Good point/question: yes, the spinal rolling could easily be much-too-much for many bodies. As always, it makes sense to listen to the body and make skillful decisions. This often means to back-up. perhaps a student could do cat and cow pose movements instead. Or, very gentle bridge pose to knees-to-chest pose repetitions. These might be more accessible.
@everyone else: glad this is treating you well!
Question: The rolling back and forth sequence ( Dandasana to Halasana) is great for spinal stimulation, but for those not-too-young, healthy students (60 years old and up,) any special points need to pay attention to ? Hope you have a wonderful time in Japan !
