Yoga for Cross-Training

Vinyasa Flow | By Stephanie Snyder on Dec 18 2011
This class is physically challenging for the person who is new to yoga but in good condition and wants to jump into the practice as part of your cross-training. We will move through a rigorous but accessible sequence that will work your body and release and relax your mind. This is just straight-up asana (poses) for those who prefer to focus on the physical aspects of the practice.

Great workout. I love how you focus on the physical practice and do not spend much time talking about spirituality and metaphysics :)

Stephanie, thank you for your creative energy and inspiration. When you talk about holding stuff in places like our shoulders (job, email, kids, etc.) I feel like you are talking directly to me. Namaste, Mama.

Perfect vigorous 30 min class when time is short. I'll definitely be doing this class again when my time is limited. Love your teaching Stephanie.

Great class, Stephanie! I love how you pack so much into such a short amount of time. Makes it easier to get in a good workout when I'm in a hurry. :)

I'm new to yogaglo and this was my third class, loved it because it was harder on the legs. I wish the descriptions included body part focus. THANK YOU!

    Hey Hanna-
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, this practice is designed exactly as you said to get moving and burn a little :) As far as more classes go, I have been on maternity leave (Im pregnant in this class) and will be returning in the next month or so to film more content! So please check back, I will be offering a ton of classes in 2012 and cant wait.

Perfect pace for those who like something that moves. Didn't feel rushed as other reviewers mentioned for the style of the practice. Description was right on. I haven't seen hour long classes from you Stephanie for a long time. Any chance of hour long classes like this one in the future?
  • Megan Swanson     Jan 4th, 2012
Perfect after-work flow! Quick enough to keep the mind flowing with the practice, but well-paced and thoughtfully-constructed flow. Mindfully blends breath with movement. Definitely a physical class, but the essence of the practice still comes through. Thanks so much, Steph!

    Great sequence. Thank you!
  • coco      Dec 19th, 2011
I totally enjoyed this awakening session, eventhough the title is a bit scarely. It's timely for my condition during my baby's nap. Regarding breath cycle, it will be more hard for me if it is slow flow. Thanx!

I enjoy your teaching style, great instructions but I agree w/ yogagal, I felt rushed. Perhaps the student working w/ you can give you a cue to let you know if moving too quickly. Thank you.

great class Stephanie! thank you <3
  • yogagal      Dec 18th, 2011
Always love your sequencing and cues. One little suggestion, vinyasa's too fast, they are like maybe 2 count breath cycles, know it's 30 minutes, but how about 4 count, inhale 1,2,3,4 exhale 4,3,2,1 during plank, chatur, cobra, ams? Thanks, great class!
