"Whatever scares you most, acknowledge it, then put your yoga to it" -Gopala Ayer Sundaramoorthy. For anyone seeking to manifest a result - whether a pregnancy, a project, a relationship or a job - this is a practice to slow you down, ground you, and open up the space for your project or baby to manifest. Through this sequence, you will stop resisting and start welcoming. Includes seated hip openers, forward bends, gentle backbend and savasana.

Another wonderful class. Thank you so much Elena.

Elena, I am so incredibly grateful for all of your classes, and for this one in particular. You remind me to be gentle with myself physically and emotionally through the fertility process, to trust my body and its natural rhythms, and to simply open myself to possibility - whether that possibility is the one I desired or not. I had an early miscarriage last month, and this practice allowed me to move through it with peace and love for myself and my body, instead of blame and anger towards my body that I might have subjected it to otherwise. nNeedless to say, since doing this and your other classes, I have been positively radiating peace! Even my acupuncturist noticed how different my energy has been. Thank you so much again, and I am sending much love and positivity your way!n

Thanks for this! Loved it.

Thank you for being honest about your journey to motherhood and for encouraging us to slow down. It is hard to do, as the rigorous exercise - running, skiing, sweaty yoga - feel so delicious. I so want to be a mom; it hasn't happened yet and am trying to trust that by slowing down, I will have a better chance. Thank you for nourishing my courage.

@Jessica - while I'm not an MD of course, and there are tons of books, my recommendation for fertility is to read less and sit, alone, more. Listen more. Practice, do restoratives. Take baths, take walks, connect to the Earth, get closer to yourself and your natural cycles (in every way) and your role in making this life. Check out the restorative practice "Let Go of Blame" http://www.yogaglo.com/online-class-1098-Let-Go-of-Blame.html. Much gratitude.

@ulrikannYES!
Ulrika Sundin - Aug 23 2011

Would this practice be appropriate for first trimester too? :) nnI like that it has a gentle flow to it through the breath although it's very calming and restorative in terms of the asanas themselves and it feels right for my body since I have a tendency to build up tension in my lower abdomen and it feels so good to remind myself to let go and take the breath there. I have some health issues that have contributed to my being tense in this area but it's also a modern phenomenon I think, that we are taught to keep the belly drawn in. Sure it's good to have a strong core but we really need to learn to let our bellies out too, no matter what it looks like! :)
Kelly Feenan - Aug 09 2011

Thank you so much. That was beautiful.
Sarah Reilly - Aug 04 2011

Angélica Granado - Jul 25 2011

Amazing!!!! Thanks for your incredible class, Elena. This is a turning point in my life (job, relationships, familiy, life style...). But in this class there is something special that make me here the click inside... and I need to ask you something. Could you dedicate a few classes to the first and five anusara principles?? how Noah Maze use to say my super power is muscular energy and my body is praying me for a best understanding of both. Thanks and love.
Christina Ursini - Jul 20 2011

This beautiful practice has been useful during my first trimester of pregnancy which has been filled with constant morning sickness. Very healing indeed.
YogaGlo - Jul 19 2011

Kathy - we just emailed you some tips to help with the streaming on your end.
Kathy Carroll - Jul 19 2011

I tried 4 times and each time the video stopped a few minutes into the sequence and wouldn't go further.

Now I find if I don't put it on full screen I can see it.

Am I doing something wrong or is there something of from your end.

Enjoyed the practice.

Kathy

Dawn Lankford - Jun 17 2011

You have such a sweet spirit Elana. Thank you so much for this beautiful practice. I often choose very active practices thinking I "need" to work hard. I really needed this reminder of how important balance is on and off the mat.
