Yoga for Skiing and Snowboarding

A long day on the mountain can punish your legs, core and so much more if you ski, snowboard or trek your way through the back country. Whether there’s fresh powder waiting for you or not quite enough snow coverage yet to spend a few days enjoying the snowy outdoors (California, we’re looking at you), YogaGlo has pre and post mountain yoga classes that will get you ready for a busy ski season and help you recover more quickly so your body is just as happy as you are slip sliding down those slopes.

Yoga classes for snowboarders & skiers you’ll want to bookmark for use on your next trip:

  • Pre-Snow Flow with Tiffany Cruikshank – This class is aimed at skiers & snowboarders with a flow to prepare you for the snowy season. We look at quads, hip flexors, core, hamstrings and hips.
  • Ski & Snowboard Prep with Tara Judelle – A pre ski/snowboarding routine targeting the glutes, quads, hamstrings, core, and spinal twists in preparation for sailing down the mountain.
  • Post-Ski/Snowboard Routine with Tara Judelle – A post ski/snowboarding routine to open the gluts, hip flexors, hamstrings and low back for maintaining muscle balance and freedom post ski.
  • Post-Ski Release with Felicia Tomasko – After a day on the slopes, this slow juicy practice of fluid stretchy full-body release featuring hip openers, a moving pigeon sequence, arm circles, and a creative camel vinyasa gets you ready to go out in the snow yet again. From finding more flexibility in the feet to releases the lateral stabilizers in the legs, this cross-training practice is great for skiers or those who like watching skiing during the Olympics.

Now…bring on the powder!
