Monthly six-hour workshops for youth cohorts to engage in a constructive curriculum of peacemaking practices including:
1. Yoga
2. Compassionate communication
3. Mindful awareness training
4. Peer teaching techniques
5. Conscious social action
Sessions will be held in a democratic educational forum. Within a strongly organized curricular structure, themes will emerge from the life experiences of participants. Youth will interact in small groups and dyads for project-based learning experiences. Each session will feature a guest teacher from the fields of yoga, health and social sciences.

1. Identify an adult Mentor in your community.
2. Identify three Allies in your peer group.
3. Network with school community to develop opportunities to teach other youth.
*Tuition is on a sliding scale. Scholarships are available.
1. Yoga Skills for Youth Facilitator Training
For yoga teachers, school teachers, therapists, parents, and anyone interested in working with youth to make peace.
A 40-hour experiential training course designed to provide participants with critical knowledge in the art of guiding youth through yoga and peacemaking experiences. In this course, you will learn:
1. Developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
2. Methods for organizing a harmonious class environment.
3. Skills for building relationships with school communities.
4. Ways of skillfully conducting democratic education.
5. Techniques to guide youth in accessing their innate wisdom.
6. Insightful processes to engage youth in peacemaking.
Participants will learn an organized system for creating curriculum to meet the unique needs of individual youth and youth groups. This course will address how to effectively teach yoga to youth in relevant language.

Shanti Generation Trainer Certification Process
A select group of individuals will be accepted into the 95-hour certification process. This intensive course of study will equip teachers with the skills and experience necessary to lead Facilitators Trainings. Participants will be admitted on an individualized basis. Pre-requisites include, but are not limited to: yoga teacher training, knowledge of social justice issues, and classroom teaching experience. The process is self-paced.
